RAE Systems says its MeshGuard wireless gas-detection system has been selected for use by a leading coal seam methane gas producer in Australia.
According to RAE Systems Australia, its MeshGuard system will replace the company’s traditional fixed and wired gas monitors in methane gas production, as the older system required all cables to be trenched to maintain intrinsic safety.
The customer is said to have configured a MeshGuard system consisting of four lower-explosive-limit (LEL) monitors to detect flammable gas leaks along with extended-run-time RAE PowerPaks, two hydrogen sulphide (H2S) monitors and an FMC 2000 controller.
RAE says its MeshGuard is a flexible, wireless, single gas monitoring system which can be configured to detect carbon monoxide (CO), hydrogen sulphide (H2S), Lower Explosive Limit/ Flammability (LEL) and sulphur dioxide (SO2).
RAE Systems is a leading global provider of rapidly deployable sensor networks that enable customers to identify safety and security threats in real time. Its products are used in over 95 countries by many of the world’s leading corporations and by many global Governmental agencies.
The MeshGuard systems and MeshGuard Rapid Deployment Kits are available from authorized RAE Systems distributors.
