BESTECH Australia has announced it is distributing Macrosensors SQ1250 series of heavy duty LVDT position sensors in Australia and New Zealand.
According to Bestech¸ the SQ1250 series is designed to measure position or motion in mill-type hostile environments. The sensor series is suitable for mill environments, the measurement of roller gap position for hydraulic servo systems used to control primary metals rolling mills, and controlling steam valve openings in electric power plants.
The contactless SQ1250 series position sensors are available in ranges from ±0.50 inches to ±10.00 inches, and can also operate in temperatures of up to 150°C.
The Macrosensors LVDTs are said to be electrically and magnetically double shielded to maximise noise immunity and minimise their susceptibility to external AC magnetic fields developed by electric motors, transformers. The maximum linearity error for an SQ1250 LVDT is ±0.25% of full range output.
