FLUKE Networks signed a definitive agreement to acquire AirMagnet, a leader in performance, security and compliance solutions for wireless LANs.
Fluke says the acquisition of AirMagnet is expected to create a global leader in the fast growing area of Wi-Fi testing and further strengthen Fluke Networks’ worldwide leadership in test and analysis for networks, regardless of media type. Terms of the agreement will not be disclosed. The agreement is subject to customary closing conditions and the deal is expected to close in the coming weeks.
AirMagnet provides products that allow enterprise IT organisations to ensure the availability, performance, security and compliance of wireless LAN infrastructure so that business applications can function without interruption.
AirMagnet’s products include AirMagnet Enterprise, the 24x7 WLAN security and performance management solution; AirMagnet Wi-Fi Analyser, a Wi-Fi troubleshooting tool; as well as AirMagnet Survey, AirMagnet Spectrum Analyser, AirMagnet Planner and AirMedic.
