JOHN Morris Scientific has released a carbon dioxide gas analyser from Li-Cor.
The LI-820 is a single-path, dual-wavelength, non-dispersive infrared device. It is designed for continuous monitoring of greenhouse gas emissions.
The company says the device’s optical path is a thermostatically-controlled infrared detection system. As the gas travels through the path the unit measures how much infrared energy is absorbed.
The unit has user-defined high and low level alarms which are available as voltage outputs. According to the distributor, this allows operators to control the desired amount of carbon dioxide. This alarm mechanism will also trigger pumps, valves and other equipment when the level changes too much.
