Combined solution provides repeatable end of stroke positioning

MOTION Technologies has developed a new solution which provides accurate and reliable end of stroke adjustment without using prox switches.

High ratio rotary limit switches have mechanical resolution issues which make it very difficult to get repeatable end of stroke positioning for long stroke applications.

Motion Technologies combined ELAP’s MEM absolute multi-turn rotary encoder with SSI output and the CM78 microprocessor digital display with SSI input.

The result is a programmable solution which can to accurately trip motor contacts at end of stroke without having to resort to expensive proprietary geared motors with sophisticated drives.
