ADEPT Electronic Solutions is distributing a new industrial charge-coupled device (CCD) camera with a small remote head from JAI.
The CM-030PMCL-RH camera, part of the developer’s C3 Camera Suite, also comes with a Power over Camera Link (PoCL) digital interface. The camera has a 656 by 494 active pixel resolution, while the digital video has an eight- or ten-bit pixel depth.
The company says the PoCL interface removes the need for a separate power supply, making it ideal for confined space applications. Similarly, the camera head is only 17mm in diameter, while the remote cable is only two metres long.
The unit has a 120fps frame rate in continuous operation, but higher frame rates up to 504fps can be achieved in the vertical binning and partial scan modes.
According to the distributor, the device is suitable for machine vision applications, such as robotics, surface mounting, semiconductor inspection and surface inspection.
