INDUSTRIAL Scientific has released a multi-gas monitor capable of detecting a wide range of gases in potentially hazardous and confined space applications.
The M40 can detect carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, oxygen and other combustible gases.
The company says the device is housed in a rugged, impact-resistant case for use in challenging environments. It is also resistant to electro-magnetic and radio-frequency interference.
According to the manufacturer the unit includes a vibrating alarm, a lithium-ion battery and an LCD screen. It is suitable for mining, water and waste treatment, excavations, sewerage and refinery operations.
