PACIFIC Sensor Technologies is distributing a precision RTD-based temperature recorder from Madgetech for use with Smart Gaskets.
The SGTemp1000 is a miniature, battery-powered and stand-alone device which can measure and record up to 21,845 readings per channel.
The company says the unit features a storage medium with non-volatile solid state memory to provide maximum data security in the event of a battery discharge.
According to the distributor, the recorder’s RTD sensor does not suffer from the cold-junction issues which affect a thermocouple or the high and low temperature errors of a thermistor.
The device can be started and stopped directly from a user’s computer and its small size allows it to be fitted anywhere.
The company says the unit can retrieve data quickly and easily with provided software. The user has to simply plug it into an empty COM or USB port to begin.
