MICROMAX has released a node to connect thermocouple and thermistor temperature sensors to its wireless network technology.

The SureCross Banner Thermocouple Node supports up to three thermocouple inputs, one thermistor input and two discrete inputs. The company says it can sense temperatures between -200 and 2320 degrees Celsius.

The manufacturer claims the units are rugged and easy to use, with high repeatability, fast response time and zero calibration.

Models are available with either 900MHz or 2.4GHZ frequency communication capabilities. They can be powered by a direct current, solar power or through a battery module.

According to the developer, the nodes can be used to monitor motors, difficult-to-access machinery, tanks and refrigeration equipment.
